In today's world, countless pieces of information bombard us—news, opinions, and data from all conceivable sources. Consuming this on social media often lacks context, as the structure of social media, aided by algorithms, quickly creates echo chambers and knowledge bubbles. In these, opinions can rapidly radicalize, and fake news can spread swiftly. This is where BEN comes in: our app collects content from various platforms, connects them, and thus establishes a broader context.
By implementing supportive, contrasting, and relational links, we make content connections to other materials transparent. Additionally, we enable our users to exchange ideas on topics through comments. We harness collective intelligence by utilizing the diverse knowledge of our users to enhance the context on the platform. Through reward systems like "Ranks" or "Achievements," we encourage our users to actively engage with their own and others' content, helping to organize the flood of information and make content more understandable.
News is a very complex and sometimes intimidating topic. We want to encurrage our users to take the time to really understand a topic fully. We also want to make the process of consuming news more engaging, fun and as seamless as possible. This is why we use motion to enhance our user experience.
